What you need        to know

Club Director's email
1.  Kill Club is a member of AAU, JVA, and USVBA.  Parents purchase AAU and USVBA memberships.
2.  Tournament Information
     A.  Grades 5-11 (11U - 17U)  play in 5 tournaments and possibly more. 
     B.  Grades 3-4 (8U - 10U) play in 4 tournaments and possibly more.  Third grade teams usually play in 4th grade tournaments                 because of the limited number of available tournaments.

     C.  Tournaments are on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays starting late January through March for younger grades.
           Older grades start tournament play late February running through April.

     D.  Tournaments may be as close as Sloan, Iowa or as far away as Sioux Falls, SD or Lincoln, NE.
     E.  No team will play in a tournament every weekend. 
3.  Organization of club will begin in November (date and time of parent meeting TBA)
     A.  Take jersey orders  (samples will be available) 

     B.  Fill out paperwork  
4.  Practices
     A.  Grades 3-6   Practices begin in January (dates and times TBA).

     B.  Grades 7-11 Practices begin the middle of February (dates and times TBA).
5.  Kill Club membership fees.   Payment plans available
     3rd-4th grade new members               $280   includes  jersey         
     3rd-4th grade returning members       $250

     5th-11th grade new members             $365   includes  jerseys         
     5th-11th grade returning members      $300 

6.  Required player clinics Grades 7-11- refereeing, line judging, & scorekeeping for USVBA which are taken online.
7.  Team information
     A.  Teams will be formed by grade and age level of the athletes (some athletes may be asked to play up)
     B.  The number of teams per grade level will be determined by number of athletes participating
     C.  We limit each team to 8 or 9 athletes. 
     D.  If more than one team per grade level, team members will be selected according to skill level
     E.  Basketball athletes: you are not required to practice until your season is over.  This could affect playing time
          because
 fellow team mates will be practicing and improving.  You are strongly encouraged to come to at least one
​          practice a week.  

8.  Playing Time
     A.  Playing time for all athletes is determined by the performance of the athlete.
     B.  Playing time is left to the discretion of the coach.
     C.  Playing time is not guaranteed and equal playing time should not be expected.
     D.  Playing time issues WILL NOT be issues. 
     E.  Players will receive opportunities to earn playing time during practices.
     F.  ONLY athletes may discuss playing time concerns with the coach.
